Mutual respect and exercising common sense are crucial aspects of the FTF community guidelines which are applicable to both Riders and Drivers. At FTF, we firmly hold the belief that every individual should experience a sense of safety, support, and welcome during their interactions throughout the journey. For this reason, we have established guidelines and policies addressing racial and ethnic background differences, physical engagement, threatening and rude behaviour, sexual assault and misconduct, post-trip contact, discrimination and property damage.
Racial and ethnic background differences
You should consistently experience a sense of safety, respect, and inclusion. That's why we have zero tolerance for any form of racist or discriminatory actions or behaviours, whether directed towards the Drivers or any member of the FTF Support team.
Avoid mistreating someone or speaking negatively about them because of characteristics such as sex, sexual orientation, disability, age, colour, gender identity, native land, appearance, marital or civil partnership status, religion or belief, geographical location, or any other trait protected by relevant laws.
Rudeness, Intimidation, provocation and sexual misconduct
Any form of rude behaviour, threatening comments or gestures, as well as actions or speech causing provocation or interpreted as sexual misconduct, must be strictly avoided. FTF Drivers and members of the support team are not, under any circumstances, obligated to endure such behaviours. It is crucial to prioritize a safe and respectful environment for everyone involved.
To foster a friendly atmosphere during your trip, it is recommended to refrain from making the following questions and comments :
- personal, religious, and political questions.
- It is advised against making disparaging or complimentary comments about each other's appearance.
- Avoid engaging in any form of flirting or being physically too close to the other party. Maintaining a professional and respectful distance is essential to creating a comfortable environment for all parties involved.
Additionally, it's advisable to be mindful of the time of day before initiating or expecting a conversation with each other. Long driving hours or having an exhausting day may leave both parties fatigued, limiting their inclination for extensive conversations.
Post-trip contact
Terminate communication upon the completion of the trip, unless it pertains to the retrieval or return of lost items. Unwanted contact can be interpreted as harassment and includes activities like calling, texting, interacting on social media, visiting, or attempting in-person visits after the trip has ended.
Property damage.
Causing harm to property is strictly prohibited. Examples of such actions include damaging the merchant's vehicle or accessories intentionally, attempting or requesting the merchant to permit smoking, consuming food or drink (except bottled non-alcoholic drinks), causing harm to a merchant's premises, and being sick due to excessive alcohol or drug consumption. While sickness due to medical reasons is unfortunate, passengers who are aware of their medical condition are expected to be prepared by carrying a plastic bag or vomiting dish for emergencies.
Should you cause damage to property, you are accountable for covering the expenses associated with cleaning and repair fees,
